Senior resident doctor of KGMU rapes junior, arrested

Lucknow: Dr Naveen Kumar, a senior resident doctor at the King George Medical University (KGMU), in Lucknow of Uttar Pradesh was arrested on Saturday for raping his junior, police said.

Kumar was arrested after he was booked under sections 376, 420 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Chowk police station in Lucknow on the complaint of the victim, SHO Chowk told newstrack.com.

The accused was arrested from his residence.

The victim was said to be his junior.
