General VK Singh to leave for Jeddah to help unemployed Indians

New Delhi: Lending a full-fledged support to about 10,000 unemployed Indians, Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh will depart for Saudi Arabia on Tuesday night to sort out the issues as several factories are being closed down leaving Indian workers unpaid for a long time.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said he would reach Jeddah in the early hours on August 3.

Indian workers were facing food crisis following which food distribution camps provided them with meals.

Indian Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj on Saturday expressed her concern regarding the Indians who were leading a piteous life being jobless.

Earlier, a person living in Saudi Arabia asked Indian Consulate in the country via Twitter to see the affair where Indians were rendered jobless.
