Lucknow: In a case relating to the alleged telephonic threat to IPS officer Amitabh Thakur by the Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, a local court on Tuesday rejected the final police report and directed the re-investigation of the matter.
Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Sandhya Srivastava has sought scrutiny of the two voices heard in the telephonic conversation, claimed to be of Mulayam Singh Yadav and Amitabh Thakur.
She directed the Circle officer Hazratganj to undertake further investigation in the matter and get the voices in the Compact Disc (CD) scientifically examined in the State Forensic Science Laboratory, presenting his report by 30 September 2016.
The Police report on October 25 said that no case could be filed against Mulayam Singh Yadav due to lack of evidence.
