What is Raisina Dialogue? It reflects India's diplomatic success

The Raisina Conference, which has become a very important platform for global diplomatic discussions, is going to start today. This time the theme of the event is ‘Chaturanga: Controversy, Competition, Cooperation and Construction’.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 9th edition of Raisina Samvad in Delhi tomorrow. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will be the chief guest of the event. The three-day conference will be attended by representatives from over 115 countries, including Union ministers, former heads of state and government, military commanders, industry and technology leaders, academicians, journalists, and strategic affairs experts.

What is Raisina Dialogue?

Foreign ministers of several countries of the world participate in the Raisina Dialogue. This meeting is organized by the Ministry of External Affairs and Observer Research Foundation (ORF). ORF is an independent think tank.

The countries participating in this event discuss many current geo-political and geo-economic issues. High-level officials, policymakers, industry leaders, and journalists from different countries participated in this meeting.

This program is organized by the Ministry of External Affairs. The headquarters of the Ministry of External Affairs is located on Raisina Hill, which is also known as South Block that is why it is called Raisina conference.

This conference was started in the year 2016. For the first time, the conference was organized on the theme of Asia Regional and Global Connectivity. This conference is being organized every year after 2016.

The main objective of this conference is to maintain coordination among the countries of the world. Through this program, the Government of India makes its policy regarding international relations and issues clear to the world. For the last eight years, representatives from about 100 countries have been attending this conference. In such a situation, the Indian Government is increasing its diplomatic capacity through this program.
