US seals another deal with India, four Poseidon-8l aircraft ordered

New Delhi: The United states has sealed another deal with India strengthen ing the Indo-US bond on defence security.

The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has cleared the acquisition of four Poseidon-8l long range antisubmarine surveillance warfare aircraft. The cost of this deal will be over $1 million,” said Defence Ministry sources.

This will also be linked to the Boeing contract and the first aircraft will be delivered to India within the year, sources added.
