Kolkata: In Begal, protest against Citizenship Bill turns violent and two people killed. There are reports saying that another three were critically injured on Wednesday. Anti CAA-NRC protest in Murshidabad's Jalangi area turned violent, The deceased, identified as Anarul Biswas,and the injured sustained bullet injuries.

The local TMC leadership have, however, denied the charges and counter alleged that the violence was perpetrated by the local Congress and CPM supporters, who attacked the Trinamool workers while they were trying to pass through the area.

Allegedly TMC leader shot fire on two people. Violence then erupted here and miscreants set fire to several two-wheelers and cars.

Bharat Bandh in Mumbai: According to the reports at least 100 protesters gathered on the tracks at the railway station around 8 am and stopped CSMT-bound slow trains. The protesters raised slogans and waved the National Flag.
