Police busts Kidney trade racket in New Delhi

New Delhi: The district police on Friday claimed to have busted a kidney trade racket.

The police have arrested six persons, including the personal staff of doctors at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, said officials.

The Apollo Hospital has distanced itself from the racket and have ensured the police for full co-operation.

  • The accused include three middlemen, who are believed to have sold at least four kidneys.
  • A case regarding the matter has been registered at Sarita Vihar Police Station.
  • Investigation was underway.
