PM Modi reaches for BRICS Summit; China cheers 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived China, for the 9th BRICS Summit, amid the chants of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' on Monday.

The Prime Minister shared the pictures of his arrival on his twitter expressing his happiness to be welcomed by the Indian community.

"Reached Xiamen for BRICS Summit. Looking forward to the Summit deliberations. Glad to see the Indian community welcoming so warmly," stated PM.

The BRICS summit will be held at Xiamen city in China's Fujian province.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit Myanmar from September 5 to 7 on the invitation of Myanmar President U Htin Kyaw.

He is also expected to hold talks with State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi on matters of mutual interest apart from his engagements in the capital city of Nay Pyi Taw.

The PM will also visit Yangon and Bagan.
