New Delhi: The Supreme Court has dismissed former Uttar Pradesh minister Babu Singh Khuswaha's petition seeking bail in NRHM scam.
Kushwaha, who was the minister during the BSP rule, was arrested on March 3, 2012 for his alleged involvement in the case in which it was alleged that that huge sums of money were siphoned off by politicians, bureaucrats and doctors from the funds meant for the NRHM.
It could be mentioned that, the SC, in February, had refused to grant interim bail to Kushwaha. It had also issued notices to the Uttar Pradesh Government and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case related to the multi-crore scam against the former minister.
The apex court, which had also sought a detailed reply from both the parties by February 24, asked the BSP leader to appear before it after four months.
