Naxals attack CRPF convoy in Maharashtra; 1 dead, 15 injured

Gadchiroli: One Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was killed and as many as 15 others sustained injuries on Wednesday in a landmine attack in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra.

The mishap took place when mine protected vehicle of the C-60 commandos came under a landmine, allegedly installed by naxals.

"The injured were rushed to the nearby hospital while three crtical jawans were airlifted to Nagpur for treatment," said Maheshwar Reddy, the additional superintendent of police of Gadchiroli..

Security forces are conducting seach operations.

Earlier, on April 24, about 25 CRPF men lost their lives in deadliest attack by naxalites.
