On release, Mehbooba has declared the agenda through her statement. After her release, former Chief Minister Mehbooba released her statement on the Twitter handle and announced to continue the struggle for special status.

Mehbooba said - I have been released after more than a year.

Everyone has to make an intention that the Delhi Durbar, which took away from us on August 5 by non-mirror, non-illegal, illegal, will have to taken back. Along with this, the Kashmir issue, for which thousands of people sacrificed their lives, will have to continue the struggle to resolve it. This path is certainly not easy, but for this, the struggle will have to continue. I want people in all jails should free now, said Mehbooba Mufti in a video released on her Twitter account.
