Two earthquakes jolt Himachal, epicentre Kullu

Shimla: Two medium intensity earthquakes shook Himachal Pradesh and nearby areas in a span of 20 minutes, on Saturday. Kullu region was the epicentre of the quakes of 4.6 and 4.4 magnitudes.

“The first earthquake measuring 4.6 on Richter scale occurred at 0644 hours at a depth of 10 kilometres and the second jolt was recorded at 0705 hours at the same dept,” said National Centre of Seismology, a unit of ministry of earth sciences.

There were no initial reports of loss of life or property damage.
