New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced a financial aid of Rs. 1 crore to the kin of a retired army man Ram Kishan Grewal who committed suicide while protesting regarding the proper implementation of One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme.

"We are giving Rs 1 crore to the family of Ram Kishan (Grewal) whom we consider a martyr," said Kejriwal after cremation ceremony.

When Kejriwal was asked about politicking the death of a retired soldier, he said, “Yes we are doing politics by securing the rights of soldiers while Centre is politicking by cheating the soldiers.”
