New Delhi: The speed of corona is increasing day by day in India. Although the figures of daily cases have decreased in some states, but there are still many states like Maharashtra, Kerala and Karnataka, where new cases of corona have increased the tension. On Sunday, 50,210 new patients suffering from corona virus infection were found in Karnataka.

At the same time, 38,563 new cases were registered in Karnataka a day earlier. This is the second time that the number of daily cases in Karnataka has crossed 50 thousand. Last year on May 5, 50,112 new patients were found. Although then the death toll was 346 whereas today it is 19. In the last 24 hours, 45,449 new cases have been reported in Kerala and 40,805 new cases in Maharashtra.

During the last 24 hours, 3,06,064 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in India, taking the total number of people infected so far in the country to 3,95,43,328. Active cases in the country have reached 22.49 lakh, which is the highest in the last 241 days.


Corona in Maharashtra: 

In the last 24 hours, 439 cases of death due to infection were reported in the country. Of these, 77 cases were reported in Kerala and 44 in Maharashtra. According to the data, a total of 4,89,848 people died due to infection in the country so far, out of which 1,42,115 were in Maharashtra, 51,816 in Kerala, 38,582 in Karnataka, 37,218 in Tamil Nadu, 25,620 in Delhi, 23,056 in Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. of 20,338 people.

The Health Ministry said that out of those who have died due to corona virus infection so far, more than 70 percent of the patients also had other diseases. The ministry said on its website that its figures are being matched with the data of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). According to the data, the daily rate of infection was recorded at 20.75 percent and the weekly rate at 17.03 percent.

So far, a total of 3,68,04,145 people have become infection free in the country and the death rate from covid-19 is 1.24 percent. Under the nationwide vaccination campaign, more than 162.26 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far.
