Hyderabad: An 11-year-old boy, who boarded the Qatar Airways flight number QR 500 from Doha to Hyderabad, died midway on early Wednesday morning.

Arnav Allura was rushed to Apollo hospital here, after the flight landed in Hyderabad at around 2.00 am, where he was declared brought dead.

“The boy was already dead when he reached hospital, maybe due to high air pressure. The real cause of his death will be cleared after post mortem,” said the doctor.

"We are aware of the very sad news that a young child passed away at Hyderabad International Airport this morning," the airline said in a statement.

"Our heartfelt sympathy and thoughts are with the affected family," it added.

“The boy’s family is a resident of Raja Nagar in Hyderabad’s Moula Ali.”

A similar case was filed in August this year when a four-months-old boy died in Indigo flight that was travelling from Bengaluru to Patna. The flight was diverted to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad after the condition of baby deteriorated.

Doctors at the Apollo hospital confirmed his death due to high air pressure as they noticed boy’s bleeding nose.
