Babri Masjid of Ayodhya to be built in Lucknow: Shia Waqf Board

Lucknow: In what claimed to be a major breakthrough in Ayodhya imbroglio, the Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board, Wasim Rizvi on Monday said that an agreement plan has been prepared for construction of Ram Temple after talks of all stakeholders.

As per the plan, Rizvi claimed that a grand Ram Temple would be constructed at Ayodhya site while a Mosque to be constructed in the state capital Lucknow near clock tower as Masjid-e-Aman.

He said the mutual agreement between the two parties have signatories like Mahant Narendra Giri, Chairman of All India Akhada Parishad, Mahant Nritya Gopal, Mahant Awdhesh Das Maharaj, Mahant Suresh Das Digambar, Dr. Rameshwar Das, Ram Vilas Vedanti, and others. Significantly, there is no signatory from Sunni Waqf Board.

Rizvi unveiled the grand plan along with the documents during the press conference later in the day. He said, "On August 11, Shia Waqf Board approached Supreme Court after which it cancelled the registration of Sunni Central Waqf Board."

What else Rizvi said?

- We met all the stakeholders and decided to take back our claim for Ram Janambhoomi in Ayodhya.

- We mutually entered an agreement plan that allows the construction of a Masjid in Lucknow's Husainabad.

- We have submitted the copy of agreement in Supreme Court on November 18.

- Court will hear the matter on December 5.
