Ayodhya case hearing deferred; SC to constitute new bench on Jan 29

The Supreme Court, on Thursday deferred the Ayodhya title dispute to January 29. It is to be mentioned that Justice Uday U Lalit leaves the hearing saying he was a lawyer in a related case earlier.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court, on Thursday deferred the Ayodhya title dispute to January 29.

The Supreme Court will form a new bench on January 29. It is to be mentioned that Justice Uday U Lalit leaves the hearing saying he was a lawyer in a related case earlier.

Earlier today, the bench of 5 judges headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi was going to hear the Ayodhya case but now the hearing on this matter will take place on January 29.

The 4 judge Constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi includes Justice SA Bobde, Justice NV Ramana and Justice Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud.
