Amar Singh hints of joining BJP; praises PM Modi

New Delhi: Former Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Amar Singh on Saturday hinted that he may join Bharatiya Janata Party in the near future. He also heaped praises on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for demonetisation move.

“I have not yet decided about joining BJP, but I am also not saying that I do not have plans to join BJP,” said Amar Singh in an interview to a leading news channel.

“PM Modi is not BJP’s Prime Minister, he is the Prime Minister of India,” Amar said.

Applauding PM Modi, Amar Singh said former has no legacy behind him. “PM Modi has no family, no son and his politics is not that of dynasty.

Comparing MSY and PM Modi, he said, “Mulayam Singh had no political empire, both Modi and Mulayam are similar in that respect.”
