The state government is making preparations on the war footing for the Kumbh to be held in Ujjain in MP. This time around 14 crore people are expected to come to Kumbh. The government has made a plan for Shipra purification so that all these people can take a dip in the pure water of Shipra. CM Mohan Yadav will do Bhoomi Pujan of this 598 crore scheme on June 16.

For Shipra purification, the polluted water coming from Kanh river from Indore will be stopped in Shipra River. For this, Kanh Diversion Close Dot Project has been made. CM Dr Mohan Yadav has approved this project.

Kumbh will be organized in Ujjain in the year 2028, due to which the issue of Shipra purification is being raised prominently. CM Dr Mohan Yadav also wants to provide pure water in Shipra during Kumbh at all costs. For this reason, a plan has been made to stop the dirty water of Kanh river coming from Indore from mixing in Shipra so that the water of Shipra remains pure.

The cost of the Kanha Diversion Close Dot Project is Rs 598.66 crore. In this project, a 100 meter long approach channel, a 29 km long 4.5 meter underground box and finally a 100 meter open channel will be built.

According to Ujjain district magistrate Neeraj Kumar Singh, sewage water from Indore and Sanwer meets the Kanh river. This dirty water of Kanh later meets Shipra. To stop this, a barrage will be built on the Kanh river in Jamalpur. Water from the Close Dot will be diverted to the downstream of the Gambhir Dam. This scheme will be completed in 42 months. In this way, the water of Shipra will be completely purified before Simhastha 2028.
