Rajasthan RGHS Fraud (PC- Social Media)

The Rajasthan government has suspended seven doctors and filed FIRs against a hospital and a diagnostic centre in a major RGHS fraud crackdown. Around Rs 32 crore has been recovered, 19 FIRs registered, and hundreds of beneficiary cards blocked. The action aims to protect public funds under the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme.

Big Crackdown On RGHS Fraud

The action was taken under the direction of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar. The focus is clear. Transparency and accountability must stay strong in the health scheme.

Seven doctors in Sikar district have been suspended after an audit found serious irregularities. The suspensions include associate professors and doctors from government hospitals. Investigations are still going on. More action may follow.

FIRs Against Hospital And Diagnostic Centre

Criminal cases are being filed against Bharatpur Nursing Home and Bothra Diagnostic and Imaging Centre in Bikaner. Investigations revealed fake claims and misuse of RGHS beneficiary cards.

In one case, patients were allegedly treated without proper RGHS approval. Transaction IDs were generated using Single Sign-On credentials. Claims were raised through a pharmacy. This caused direct loss to taxpayers. The hospital has now been de-empanelled.

At the diagnostic centre, patients were reportedly advised unnecessary tests like HbA1c and RA Factor without medical reason. Some reports were missing. Some prescriptions carried forged signatures. A few doctors whose names appeared were either on leave or not even posted there at that time. That detail shocked many.

Massive Recovery And Suspensions

So far, 19 FIRs have been registered. A total of 64 personnel have been suspended. Around 500 RGHS beneficiary cards have been blocked to stop further misuse.

The government has recovered nearly Rs 2 crore from card misuse alone. Payments to 39 hospitals have been blocked. More than Rs 32 crore has been recovered from eight de-empanelled hospitals. Officials of 33 hospitals also faced action.

Over 212 pharmacies were blocked. Around Rs 5 crore has been recovered from them. These numbers are not small. It shows the scale of the fraud.

Government Says Action Will Continue

Principal Secretary Gayatri Rathore confirmed that continuous monitoring and audits are happening. Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency CEO Harjilal Atal said collusion between certain hospitals and pharmacies was clearly found during investigation.

The message from the state government is simple. Public money cannot be misused. RGHS was created to support government employees and pensioners. If fraud enters such schemes, trust breaks.

Officials say strict action will continue. More audits are expected in coming months. The government wants to ensure the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme runs clean and fair. For taxpayers, this crackdown may bring some relief, finally.
