Akhilesh Yadav files nomination from Kannauj, will contest against BJP's Subrata Pathak

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday filed nomination for the Lok Sabha elections from Kannauj Lok Sabha constituency of Uttar Pradesh. He will face Subrata Pathak of Bharatiya Janata Party. The fight has become tough with Akhilesh Yadav contesting this seat.

When the SP President filed his nomination papers from Kannauj, uncle Ram Gopal Yadav was also present with him. With the arrival of Akhilesh Yadav, this seat has now become high profile. On the other hand, BJP candidate Subrata Pathak has also filed his nomination.

Before filing nomination, Akhilesh Yadav also shared two of his pictures on social media site X. This picture is from the time when Akhilesh had filed his nomination for the first time. While sharing these pictures, Akhilesh wrote, 'Again history will be repeated, now a new future will be created.'

Before Akhilesh's nomination, BJP candidate Subrata Pathak described this election as a match of India versus Pakistan. Subrata Pathak says that when Tej Pratap was made the candidate, the contest was one-sided but now there will be an equal contest. He said that if there was a match with Tej Pratap, it would have been like India vs Nepal cricket match, now the match will be like India vs Pakistan.

Pathak said that Ram Gopal Yadav's party promotes plunder and terrorism. Their thinking is Pakistani. This fight is between Kannauj and Bahri. I am from Kannauj. On the other hand, SP leader Shivpal Yadav claimed that Akhilesh Yadav will win this election with a huge margin. He said that Akhilesh and Dimple had won elections from here before.

Kannauj Lok Sabha seat has been a stronghold of SP. But in 2019, Subrata Pathak defeated Dipal Yadav from this seat. After which BJP has fielded him this time also. MY equation plays an important role on this seat.
