RRB JE Recruitment 2025 Update: Deadline Extended And More Vacancies Added

RRB just pushed the application dates for JE recruitment, and the total vacancies also jumped slightly, so the whole process now gives applicants some extra breathing space to complete everything on time. You can apply till December 10, 2025 and pay the fee till December 12, making this the most important update for anyone still preparing their forms.

The Railway Recruitment Board extended the application deadline for Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant posts because many students were facing delays in submitting forms. This small extension feels like a relief because earlier the dates were tighter and people kept rushing. Now the window stays open till December 10 at 11:59 PM, which is giving a bit of comfort for last-minute applicants who still feel confused with documents.

Another important part is the fee payment date shifting to December 12, which means even if someone submits the form late, they still get two more days to settle the payment. This sort of flexibility usually doesn't come often in railway recruitment, so applicants should not wait too long because the Board rarely shifts dates again.

The vacancies have also increased, and that’s something that actually changes competition a little. Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala and Integral Coach Factory Chennai both added more seats, taking total vacancies to 2,588 instead of 2,569. The number itself may look small, but even nineteen extra posts matter in a recruitment where lakhs apply.

The modification window is another key highlight because many applicants make errors in choosing RRBs or preferences. From November 25 to December 10, candidates can correct these choices. After that, another correction phase will run from December 13 to 22, though this second window will require an extra fee for changes. One thing applicants must remember is that during the second correction phase, they cannot change their RRB or account details. Many people misunderstand this and later regret not fixing it in the first window.

PwBD candidates get a separate timeline to submit their scribe details, which falls between December 23 and 27. This detail is important because failing to add scribe information on time may stop them from using a scribe during the exam.

RRB also repeated a warning that keeps coming in almost every recruitment: avoid anyone offering jobs for money or promising guaranteed selection. The whole system is computer-based and merit only, so these scams are pointless and risky. Students should only depend on official updates posted by their RRB.
