Iran has clearly said it will not negotiate with the United States. Senior official Ali Larijani dismissed reports of backchannel talks and posted, “We will not negotiate with the United States.” This comes days after US and Israeli airstrikes killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The region now faces rising military tension and diplomatic breakdown.

Larijani Rejects Dialogue Claims

Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, rejected a report that Tehran was seeking talks through Oman. The Wall Street Journal had suggested indirect diplomacy was being explored.

Larijani’s message on X was short but firm. No negotiations. No compromise.

That statement shuts down speculation, at least for now.

Iran Calls US Strikes ‘Aggression’

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the US action strongly. In an interview with ABC News, he said America’s strikes were unlawful aggression.

He insisted Iran’s response is self-defence. The tone from Tehran sounds defiant, not hesitant.

The airstrikes carried out by the United States and Israel on February 28 killed Ali Khamenei. That changed everything overnight.

Missile Attacks Across Gulf

After the strikes, Iran launched missile attacks targeting US military bases across the Middle East. Several Gulf nations reported drone and missile threats.

The US and six Gulf countries, including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, issued a joint statement condemning Iran’s actions. They described the attacks as reckless and dangerous.

The fear now is regional spillover. One wrong move can widen this conflict.

Trump Promises Continued Operations

Donald Trump called the US assault one of the largest military offensives ever seen. He confirmed Khamenei’s death and said operations will continue until objectives are achieved.

His words were direct. No sign of stepping back.

What Comes Next?

Diplomacy seems frozen. Military posturing continues. Iran says no talks. The US says mission continues.

The situation remains fluid. For now, both sides appear locked in confrontation, and the Middle East stands tense, waiting for the next move.
