The political heat in Bihar just spiked days before the second phase of polling. A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court demanding the cancellation of Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary’s nomination and his removal from office. The plea alleges that Choudhary gave false information about his age in election affidavits, showing inconsistencies between documents filed in 1995, 1999, and later elections. The petition also calls for an FIR to be registered against him.

Final Day of Campaigning Turns Fierce

Sunday marks the final day of campaigning for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly Election 2025, scheduled for November 11. Political parties have gone all out to make their last appeal to voters. Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed massive rallies across six constituencies, including Rohtas and Jehanabad, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a rally in Kishanganj. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also joined the campaign trail, supporting BJP candidates in Sikti, Narpatganj, Chhatapur, and Bisfi.

Every leader is pushing hard to influence the final stretch of voting. The Election Commission has already completed the first phase peacefully, but now the political temperature is rising fast across the state.

NDA and Opposition Lock Horns

BJP’s allies, including LJP leader Chirag Paswan, have expressed full confidence that the NDA will form the next government with Nitish Kumar continuing as Chief Minister. Paswan said people have seen through the opposition’s false promises and will vote for stability. On the other hand, Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar hit out at the ruling alliance, saying that the “double engine government” has failed and people now want change in Bihar.

Adding to the momentum, Andhra Pradesh’s IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh joined NDA’s campaign, praising the Modi-Nitish partnership and calling it the “Nani formula” for Bihar’s development. He criticized Tejashwi Yadav’s promise of one crore jobs, calling it unrealistic and purely election propaganda.

All Eyes on November 11

With only hours left before the campaign silence begins, both camps are making their final pitches. The RJD has raised concerns about the security of strong rooms in Hajipur, though the Election Commission dismissed those claims. As Bihar braces for phase two of voting, the political scene is filled with promises, accusations, and uncertainty.

The Supreme Court case against Samrat Choudhary could create ripples, but for now, parties are focused on voter turnout and last-minute persuasion. Bihar voters hold the key — and the result on November 14 will reveal which alliance truly connected with the ground mood.
