Yogi Factor Bihar Elections 2025: Since the results of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections have come out, political analysis has become even more interesting. If you go deeper into the figures, you will clearly understand that the rallies of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath played, in a way, a ‘gamechanger’ role in this election. In the 31 Assembly constituencies where Yogi held public meetings, a major change in voting patterns was clearly visible.
Compared to 2020, the 2025 results did not just show a change in who won which seat, but also a massive jump in the margin of victory. If we look at the year 2020, NDA had won 20 out of these 31 seats and the Mahagathbandhan had won 11 seats, but in 2025 this picture changed completely. This time the NDA clinched almost 26 of these seats, while the Mahagathbandhan shrank to just 5.
Danapur: From a Big Defeat to a Big Victory
In 2020, on the Danapur seat, RJD’s Reetlal Yadav had won by nearly 15,924 votes. But in 2025, this seat went to BJP’s Ramkripal Yadav with a massive majority. This time, the margin of victory reached around 29,133 votes… that is, almost double.
Aghyaon: Where the BJP Turned a 48,000-Vote Defeat into a 95-Vote Victory…
If you look closely, you will realise that this was the most thrilling contest of this election. In the previous by-election, CPI’s Shivprakash Ranjan had won by about 48,550 votes. In 2025, on that very seat, BJP’s Mahesh Paswan created history by winning with a margin of just 95 votes. After Yogi’s rally here, the entire mood completely changed.
Parihar, Siwan, Buxar – Everywhere the Victory Margin Became Many Times Bigger
-
Parihar: In 2020, the BJP had won here by 1,569 votes; in 2025, this margin rose to 15,690 — that is, a tenfold increase.
-
Siwan: Where earlier the RJD had won by 1,973 votes, this time BJP’s Mangal Pandey turned the contest one-sided by winning with a margin of nearly 9,370 votes.
-
Buxar: The Congress victory of about 3,892 votes in 2020 was erased in 2025, and the BJP captured this seat with a margin of 28,253 votes.
The Victory Margins in Muzaffarpur and Atri Also Increased Several Times Over
• In Muzaffarpur, where the Congress had a margin of around 6,326 votes, this time the BJP won by nearly 32,657 votes — a margin more than four times larger. • On the Atri seat, the RJD’s margin of victory grew nearly threefold, but this time in favour of the HAM party.
So, Is This the Echo of Yogi’s ‘Bulldozer Brand’ in Bihar?
Yogi Adityanath’s image—tough on law and order, taking action against mafias, and his so-called bulldozer politics—has been quite impactful in Bihar. His rallies drew crowds in the thousands, and these crowds, in support of the ‘bulldozer model’, went on to press the EVM buttons in huge numbers.
Along with this, the districts of Bihar adjoining the Uttar Pradesh border have deep social and cultural ties with Purvanchal. For this very reason, when we look at it on the ground, Yogi’s influence clearly appears to have converted directly into votes here.
Now… A ‘Big Glimpse’ of the 2027 UP Elections in Bihar?
According to political experts, Yogi’s influence in Bihar has already put in full force the effort to change the political winds of Purvanchal in the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh elections. A large number of people from Bihar are settled in UP’s Ballia, Ghazipur, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Mau, and Prayagraj; therefore, Yogi’s impact in Bihar has every possibility of extending into the politics of Purvanchal as well.
For the moment, the Bihar results clearly indicate that the public’s trust in both Yogi Adityanath and the BJP has increased. All in all, the 2025 elections have proved that the ‘Yogi Factor’ has been decisive in Bihar—and its effect could be strongly visible in the upcoming UP elections as well.
