SOM Distilleries’ Posts Strong Results, Profit Jumps 15%
SOM Distilleries reports strong profitability in Q2 and H1 FY26 with improved margins and stable demand despite flat revenue and volatile market conditions.

SOM Distilleries and Breweries Ltd has reported a strong improvement in profitability for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2025, even as total income remained largely flat due to temporary market softness.
According to the company’s audited financial results, total income for the first half of FY26 stood at ₹800.09 crore, marginally lower than ₹804.69 crore recorded in the same period last year.
Despite the modest decline in revenue, SOM Distilleries delivered robust operational performance, supported by improved margins and disciplined cost management.
EBITDA up 15% in Q2
The company’s operating profit surged during the quarter, with Q2 FY26 EBITDA rising 15.1% to ₹40.52 crore compared to ₹35.19 crore in Q2 FY25. The EBITDA margin expanded sharply to 15% from 12.1% a year earlier.
For the half year, EBITDA increased 12.5% to ₹112.57 crore, with margins improving to 14.1% from 12.43% last year.
Gross Profit, PBT, and Net Profit Improve
Gross profit margins strengthened during the period, rising to 41.06% in Q2 and 37.61% for the half year.
Profit before tax (PBT) for Q2 rose 5.5% to ₹27.45 crore, while H1 PBT reached ₹85.83 crore, up 4.6% year-on-year.
Net profit for Q2 improved to ₹19.50 crore, an increase of 4.3% from ₹18.70 crore last year. For H1 FY26, the company posted a net profit of ₹61.56 crore, up 3.9% from the previous year.
