An Air India Express flight from Hyderabad to Phuket faced a technical problem with its nose wheel after landing at Phuket International Airport on March 11. The aircraft landed safely, but the issue caused it to stop on the runway for some time. Passengers were safely deplaned, and airport operations were temporarily paused while authorities handled the situation.

What Happened With the Hyderabad–Phuket Flight

The flight involved was Air India Express IX 938. It had departed from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad early Wednesday morning.

According to flight tracking data, the aircraft took off around 6:42 a.m., slightly later than the scheduled departure time of 6:20 a.m. The journey itself went normally.

The aircraft reached Phuket International Airport at about 11:40 a.m. local time.

But soon after landing, the crew noticed something unusual. The aircraft experienced a problem with its nose wheel once it touched down.

That part of the plane is important for steering and ground movement. Because of the issue, the aircraft could not move normally on the runway.

What Exactly Is a Nose Wheel

The nose wheel is a small but very important part of an aircraft’s landing gear.
