Children up to this age can travel free in trains

You don't have to buy train tickets for children of this age

Half ticket is required for children between 5 and 12 years

If you want a seat for your child, you will have to pay the fare

Full ticket for children aged 13 years and above

If your child is aged 13 years or above, you will have to book a full ticket for him. The half ticket rule is only for children aged 5 to 12 years.
