Doctors Lead the Way for Cancer Awareness on Kanpur Road

Cancer awareness walk - organised by Dr Vivek Malhotra and Dr Monica Malhotra to promote cancer prevention, to support patients , encouraging early detection, today at Satyarth Hospital Kanpur road. 

Before the start of the walk Dr Vivek Malhotra addressed the participants , highlighted the purpose of the campaign , emphasising the key aspects like, leaving / reducing tobacco consumption, improved dietary habits, active and healthy lifestyles etc.

Mukesh Singh, Chairman UP coordination committee Indo American Chamber of commerce requested participants to educate communities to unite, educate the public on cancer symptoms, and encourage regular screenings. 

Dr Monica Malhotra while addressing the participants of the walk said, now it’s a global call to action for raising awareness, improving education, and catalyzing personal and collective action against cancer.

Dr Deepak Diwan, renowned Nephrologist present at campaign walk said , that while cancer is a global challenge, We must fight the stigma and misinformation that often surround cancer, preventing people from seeking timely medical help. 

Dr Vivek Malhotra Oncologist and owner of Satyarth Hospital further said early detection is crucial, it saves lives, We must encourage regular check-ups, promote healthy lifestyle choices—such as avoiding tobacco, staying active, and eating well—and ensure that everyone has access to preventative care, regardless of their background. 

Mr Mukesh singh Chair IACC, quoted some survivors , and some patients who are battling with disease , their spirit to fight is an inspiration and they are not alone in this fight, Society and Government is with them said Mr Singh.

lastly Dr Monika said: As we observe this day, let us commit to being more than just bystanders. Let us be active advocates for change, supporting research, fostering compassionate care, and working together to reduce the global burden of cancer. Together, we can make a difference. 

more than two hundred people participated in the walk which included Students, para medical, Doctors and citizens. Mr. Bhisham Kumar Malhotra, Mr. Devesh Singh, Mrs Nidhi Singh,Dr.Siddharth Singh, (Urologist),Dr.SonalSingh (Radiologist)Dr.Ankur Singh (Gastroenterologist),Dr Satendra Pandey (Anaesthetist ), Dr Vinay Tripathi (Orthopedic surgeon)were among the campaigners.
