Noida Viral Video (PC- Social Media)
Two Noida-based software engineers were arrested after a video showing alleged harassment of a woman from a moving SUV went viral online. The men later claimed the flying kiss gesture seen in the clip was meant for a child sitting inside the car, not the woman. Police say the case is serious and legal action has already begun.
The incident happened on Saturday night when a family from Greater Noida West was driving towards Sector 18. The family included a man, his wife, and their young child. What began as a normal drive soon turned disturbing.
What Exactly Happened On The Road
According to police, a red MG Hector started following the family’s car near the Parthala roundabout. As both vehicles moved side by side, the occupants of the SUV allegedly rolled down their window. They then began waving, shouting, and making obscene gestures towards the woman seated in the back seat.
Blown kisses and loud remarks added to the fear inside the car. The man sensed danger and recorded a video from inside his vehicle. Soon after, the SUV sped away, leaving the family shaken.
Video Posted Online Triggers Police Action
On Sunday, the man shared the video on X and tagged UP Police and the chief minister. He demanded strict action. The clip spread quickly and drew strong reactions online. Many users called it a clear case of harassment and demanded arrests.
Police said the vehicle number visible in the video became the biggest lead. A case was registered against unknown persons, and teams began checking CCTV footage from nearby routes.
Accused Tracked And Arrested
A police team from Phase-3 station traced the SUV to Sector 135. The two accused were arrested on Sunday evening. They were identified as Amit Kumar from Azamgarh and Abhishek from Mainpuri. Both live in rented accommodation at JVS Society and work as engineers at a Noida-based IT firm.
The MG Hector with registration number UP 75 AH 3565 was seized. Police confirmed both men had attended a party earlier that night.
Drinking Admitted, Gesture Defended
During questioning, the men admitted they had consumed alcohol before roaming around the city. However, they denied harassing the woman intentionally. According to police sources, the accused showed a video claiming the flying kiss was directed at the child inside the car.
This explanation has not convinced many people online. The claim has added fuel to the debate rather than calming it.
Police Stand Firm On Legal Process
Police officials said further legal proceedings are underway. They also stressed that such behaviour on public roads will not be taken lightly, regardless of intent claims made later.
The case has once again raised questions around safety on Noida roads, especially for families travelling at night. Public pressure remains high, and the spotlight is now firmly on how the law handles such incidents.
