BITSAT 2026 Session 1 registration closes today, March 16, at 5 PM. Students who want admission into engineering, pharmacy, or science programs at BITS Pilani must complete their application before the deadline. The exam for Session 1 will be conducted from April 15 to April 17, 2026. If someone misses today’s deadline, they will have to wait for the second session application window.

This entrance exam is important for students aiming to study at one of the campuses of BITS Pilani. Thousands apply every year, and the competition is always strong.

What Is BITSAT And Why Students Take It

BITSAT stands for Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test. It is an online entrance exam conducted by BITS Pilani for admission into its undergraduate programs.

Through this exam, students can get admission into courses like B.E., B.Pharm and M.Sc. These programs are offered across BITS campuses in India.

Many students choose this exam because BITS Pilani is considered one of the top private institutes for engineering and science education. The campus placements and academic reputation attract applicants every year.

The exam is fully computer-based, and scores are used to decide admission into the various degree programs offered by the institute.

Important Dates Students Should Know

The registration window for Session 1 closes today, which means students must finish their applications before 5 PM. After that time, the portal will stop accepting new registrations.

The BITSAT Session 1 exam is scheduled between April 15 and April 17, 2026. Students will appear for the test online during these dates.

Those who already submitted the application will also get a chance to edit some details. The correction window will open from March 18 to March 20.

This small window helps students fix mistakes in the form, though certain important details cannot be changed later.

BITSAT 2026 Application Fee Details

The application fee for Session 1 is Rs. 3,600 for male candidates. Female and transgender candidates need to pay Rs. 3,100.

Students who want to appear for both sessions can choose that option while applying for the first session itself. That way they get another opportunity to improve their score.

Many candidates prefer this option because it gives them a second chance if the first attempt does not go well.

Paying the application fee successfully is necessary, otherwise the application will not be submitted properly.

Simple Steps To Apply For BITSAT 2026

The registration process is completely online and fairly simple. Students need to visit the official BITS Pilani admission website.

On the homepage, they must select the option that says “Apply for BITSAT 2026”. After that, a registration link appears where basic details need to be entered.

Once registered, the system generates an 8-digit application number and password. An OTP is also sent to the registered mobile number for verification.

After logging in again, candidates must fill personal information, exam preferences and other details. Finally the application fee needs to be paid to complete the process.

Important Details Students Must Enter Carefully

While filling the form, students must double check certain information. Details like name, date of birth, mobile number, email address and gender must be correct.

Test city preferences also need to be selected carefully. Once the form is submitted, many of these details cannot be changed later.

Even small mistakes sometimes create problems during the admission process. That is why students are usually advised to review the form slowly before submitting it.

Taking two minutes to recheck the form can save a lot of trouble later.

Session 2 Opportunity Still Available

Students who miss the first session are not completely out of options. BITS Pilani will conduct a second session of the exam as well.

Session 2 will take place between May 24 and May 26, 2026. The registration for that session will open from April 20 and continue until May 2.

This second session gives students another chance to improve their score or appear for the exam if they missed the first one.

Many students actually attempt both sessions to maximize their chances of getting admission.

Courses Offered Through BITSAT

Students who clear the BITSAT exam can apply for first degree programs offered by BITS Pilani. These include B.E., M.Sc., and B.Pharm courses.

The admission is based mainly on the marks scored in the entrance test. Higher scores improve the chances of getting preferred branches and campuses.

Apart from Indian campuses, some students may also apply for special 2+2 collaborative programs. These programs are offered in partnership with universities in Australia and the United States.

So the exam not only opens doors inside India but also gives opportunities for international academic exposure. For many students, that is one of the biggest reasons they choose BITSAT.
