Starbucks brings new rule, now there will be 'no entry' in the cafe without payment
That is, if you enter Starbucks, you will have to take their service.
American coffee brand Starbucks is once again in the headlines. The company has issued a new rule, under which whether you want to use free Wi-Fi or use the washroom, you will not be able to do so without buying something from the cafe. That is, if you enter Starbucks, you will have to take their service. This new rule will come into effect from January 27.
Starbucks said in its statement that the company is going to change its policy, under which anyone could come and go to their store earlier. However, under the new rule, now only customers who pay will be given priority. Starbucks spokesperson Jesse Anderson said about this, this rule is already in place at many retail stores. We want the customers coming to our store to feel comfortable. For this, we want to create a right atmosphere.
Under this new code of conduct of the company, things like drinking alcohol, smoking, consuming drugs while sitting in the cafe will now be closely monitored. If anyone is found doing this, he will be immediately asked to leave the cafe. If needed, police help will also be taken. The staff in the cafe will now be given information about this new rule as well as training.
In fact, in 2018, the police arrested two black people from a Starbucks store in Philadelphia. This was done on the orders of the store manager. Both of them were neither buying anything from the store nor moving from their place. As soon as this case of racial discrimination caught fire, the company had to apologize on its website.
After this, the company changed its rule, under which anyone was allowed to stay in Starbucks' cafe, whereas now the company has changed this rule again.
