The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah is increasing. Amidst this conflict, 600 Indian soldiers are keeping a strict vigil on the 120 km Blue Line on the Israel-Lebanon border. They have been deployed under the United Nations Peace Mission. Amidst the increasing conflict, India cannot unilaterally withdraw its soldiers, but it is constantly talking to the soldiers.

Media reports quoted, Major General Ashok Kumar (Retd), Director General of the Center for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS), as saying 'The safety of the soldiers is paramount. But India cannot take any unilateral decision. However, it is constantly in touch with the soldiers regarding their safety.

Major General Ashok Kumar (Retd) further said, 'Relations between India and Israel are very important, but if it gets involved in this war, then difficulties may increase for India. Relations with Israel are very important for India from the security point of view. At the same time, it is important for our connectivity projects, especially the Chabahar port." Major General Kumar expressed concern about the impact of this conflict on India's economy, especially oil supply and trade. He said, "If the conflict disrupts oil supply, it can have a direct impact on our economic growth. Apart from this, if the situation worsens, 90 lakh Indians working in the Gulf may also face problems." Apart from this, he said that India is no longer dependent on fertilizers from Lebanon. India has increased its domestic production. At the same time, now Russia is also importing from it. But India should be ready to face any challenge.
