White House under lockdown after suspicious package was found
Washington: The White House was placed on lockdown on Tuesday after a suspicious package was found by the law enforcement personnel outside the North Fence of the US President's official residence.
The lockdown, however, was lifted soon without any incident, reported the sources.
On finding the suspicious package, the Secret Service and DC Metropolitan Police responded to the scene, while media persons and construction workers, who were renovating the building, were sent inside the building.
At the time when the package was found, US President Donald Trump was enroute to Arizona aboard Air Force One to hold a scheduled rally.
