Putin hints support to India’s NSG membership application

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin is optimistic about chalking out a solution to the objection of China against the application of India for the Nuclear Supplier Group (NSG) membership.

National Supplier Group’s meeting will begin from Monday in Seoul.

“We will have honest discussion with our Chinese friends and our cards are open,” said Putin in an interview to a leading national channel on Sunday. He indirectly supported India’s application for the NSG.

“Russia and India are cooperating each other on nuclear issues within the limits of international law and be believe that India is facing energy challenged due to its population. And therefore, we must look at the opportunities to ensure and provide support to India’s secret.”
