George Floyd Case:

There is a maximum punishment of 40 years in second-degree culpable homicide, 25 years in third-degree murder and 10 years in the second-degree ruthless murder or a fine of $ 20,000.

The decision has also been welcomed by President Joe Biden. He said- this decision cannot bring George back, but it will tell us what we can do next. His last words were, I can't breathe. We cannot let these words die. We need to hear these. We can't run away from it.

Black lives matter:

The murder case against former police officer Derek Chauvin in the case of George Floyd's death in the US was referred to the jury on Monday. Last year, Chauvin died of strangulation after a black citizen Floyd's neck was pressed down from the knee, leading to mass protests in the US after the video surfaced.

After resentment arose, it was decided to send the case to the jury. The jury consisted of six white people and six black people. The debate lasted almost the entire day, with prosecutors arguing that in May last year, Chauvin snatched Floyd's life in such a way that even a child knew that the method was wrong.

However, the defense claimed that the white officer who had been dismissed from service had taken appropriate action and that 46-year-old Floyd died of heart disease and illegal drug use.

After the debate was over, Judge Peter Cahill rejected the defense's argument about the alleged wrongful trial based on comments by California Public Representative Mexican Waters that if no one was convicted in the verdict Demonstrators may be more aggressive.
