Terror Attack: Truck rams into Stockholm store; 3 dead, many injured

Stockholm: At least three persons were killed and several others suffered injuries in a suspected terrorist attack when a truck ran into a crowd of people outside a busy department store in central Stockholm on Friday.

According to international media reports, a truck rammed into a group of people killing at least three. Some reports have claimed that some fire fire shots were also heard outside the building. The initial photographs of the attack scene showed people fleeing from spot.

The incident occurred at around 13.00 GMT at the corner of the Ahlens department store and Drottninggatan, which the biggest pedestrian street of the city.

The Swedish intelligence agency has confirmed that the Stockholm truck crash was an attack. Several helicopters, police cars, ambulances and fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
