Tehran: At least four workers were killed and several others injured on Wednesday in a subway tunnel collapse here in Iran.

Workers including three Iranian and one Afghani citizen who were doing the construction works in Kianshahr metro station lost their lives in the mishap, said media reports.

Six other workers were severely injured and sent to the nearby hospital.

Investigations are on regarding the cause of collapse.
