NEW DELHI: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday congratulated Joe Biden on the victory of the US presidential election, after winning the Electoral College votes.

Let me tell you that Biden has officially ensured his victory as US President after winning the state-by-state electrical college vote on Tuesday. His congratulations are special because Putin did not congratulate Biden after the US presidential election was completed on November 3.

Putin congratulates Joe Biden on Victory:

"Vladimir Putin wished the President-elect every success. Also, expressed confidence that Russia and the United States. Which will bear special responsibility for global security and stability. Despite their differences can truly contribute to solving many problems and challenges that the world is currently facing," a Kremlin readout said on Tuesday.

Joe Biden received 306 Electoral College votes in the US presidential election. While President Donald Trump had to settle for 232 votes. It has now been decided that Biden will be sworn in as the next President in January.

Now the final results of the election will be sent to Washington, where they will be counted in the joint session of Parliament on 6 January. After this, Biden and Kamala Harris will be sworn in as presidents and vice-presidents on 20 January.

Biden, who is going to take charge on January 20. He said, “In 100 days we will change the course of the disease. To bring a good change in people’s lives in America.”

The pandemic will overshadow the early months of Biden’s tenure. So far, more than 2 lakh 83 thousand Americans have died due to this epidemic and many people have become unemployed.
