12 killed, many injured at Mardan Court bomb blast in Pakistan

Peshawar: At least 12 persons were on Friday killed and 52 others injured in a bomb blast outside a district court at Mardan in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Two back to back blasts jolted the Peshawar following a suicide-bomber attack at Christian Colony in the city.

“So far we recovered 12 bodies of the lawyers, police personnel and civilians. Besides this, we rescued 52 injured, including lawyers, police personnel and civilians from the spot,” said chief rescue officer, Haris Habib.

Taliban’s ‘Jamaat-ur-Ahrar’ has claimed the responsibility of the attack.

Earlier, Pakistan Army killed four terrorists who attacked Christian Colony.
