Karachi: Legendary Pakistani humanitarian Abdul Sattar Edhi passed away on Friday at a hospital in Karachi.

Well-known social worker, who was called as ‘living saint’ by several in Pakistan, was 88.

Asking the people to pray for the departed soul, Edhi’s family announced his death.

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif took to Twitter to express his sorrow regarding Edhi’s death.

Eidhi will be given a state funeral on Saturday.
