NEW DELHI: Pakistan will buy a dose of 1.2 million corona vaccine from China's Sinopharm. A minister gave information about it on Thursday. Pakistani Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhary said on Twitter that the Cabinet Committee has initially decided to purchase 1.2 million doses.

Doses of the vaccine from Chinese company Sinopharm, which will be provided free to frontline workers in the first quarter of 2021. China on Thursday approved the use of this vaccine. This vaccine is made with the help of Chinese government machinery. This vaccine is 79.34 effective against the virus. The company had informed about this a day earlier.

Let us know that earlier this month Pakistan approved a $ 150 million fund to buy Corona vaccines. It will be used for five of the most sensitive people in the population. So far in the country with a population of 22 crores, more than four lakh 79 thousand cases of corona have been reported. At the same time, more than 10 thousand people have died. The second wave of corona continues in the country.

UAE approved Sinopharm Vaccine:

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has already approved the use of this vaccine. It is also the first country to approve this vaccine. China has been slower than many other countries in approving corona vaccines. He has given dosages of three different vaccines to some of his citizens in the last few months, at which time the last phase of the trial was in progress.

China launched an emergency use of the vaccine program in July for essential workers and sensitive patients in Corona. By the end of November, people had given more than 1.5 million doses using at least three different vaccines. These include two developed by CNBG and one developed by Sinovac.
