Explosions Rattle Baghdad's Green Zone Near US Embassy: Security Alert Activated

Karachi: Gunshots were shot back after four gunmen opened fire near the Chinese consulate here early on Friday killing at least two security persons in the terror attack.

After the incident a heavy force has been deployed in Karachi's Clifton area.

"Police and Rangers have reached the site," said senior police official Pir Muhammad Shah. He also said that it is still not clear if anyone got injured in the alleged terror attack.

A blast and gunshots rang out in the Pakistan's southern city of Karachi.

"Two attackers have entered the visa section of the consulate, diplomats are safe," a senior police officer told media.

Pictures posted on social media of the attack showed smoke rising from the area.

According to a source three to four suspected terrorists tried to enter the Chinese embassy.

The area is already heavily guarded as it is considered a red zone.
