Islamabad: Tongue-tied following India’s outrage in the wake of the Uri terror attack, Pakistan is reportedly carrying out war games. Although India has never warned its neighbouring country of a war, the latter has started preparing for one.

According to prominent Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir, the country’s F-16 fighter planes were seen flying and launching countermeasure flares over Islamabad in late hours on Thursday. In an interview with one of the India’s leading news channels, Hamid said people came out of their houses in fear and anxiety when four to five fighter jets began flying across the national capital.

“As I tried to find out what was happening, I was informed that the planes took off from Islamabad–Peshawar highway. The pilots were also practicing to land the aircraft in dark. The Pakistani government and military are apparently preparing grounds for a war,” said Hamid.
