Washington: As many as nine persons were injured when an armed man fired multiple shots at a strip mall in Houston city of Texas in United States on Monday. Subsequently, he was gunned down by the police.

“A shooter at Weslayan near Bissonet has been neutralised by our officers. Moreover, there were no reports of other suspects,” tweeted Houston Police.

“The attacker was shot by the cops and was declared dead on arrival at a nearby health facility,” said a police spokesperson in Houston. According to official sources, the man was armed with several lethal weapons.
