Nice Truck Attack: Death toll mounts to 85

Paris: With one more succumbing to his injuries, the death toll in the brutal Nice terror attack rose to 85, said the President of the Rivera region Christian Estrosi on Thursday.

56-year-old Peter Hattermann loses his battle with life. His wife and 13-year-old son were also killed in the attack that occurred on July 14. His 14-year-old daughter is still in the hospital.

"All my thoughts for the girl, the family and relatives of Peter Hattermann who just died. (The) 85th (victim) disappeared after the attack of Nice," Estrosi, former mayor of Nice, tweeted.

What was the incident?

• Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel plowed a heavy truck into crowds on July 14
• The incident happened when Nice was celebrating its National Day
• The truck was stopped after driver was shot dead by police
