NASA Perseverance Rover captures views of Volcanic Rock on Mars
This rock had a lot in common with the rocks found on Earth. It is just like the volcanic rocks present on the earth.
New Delhi: The US Space Agency has said that its rover Perseverance, which went to Mars, has found a rock there like the one on Earth. In a tweet released from the official Twitter account of the NASA Perseverance Mars rover, it has been said that the rover had passed by this large stone. This rock had a lot in common with the rocks found on Earth. It is just like the volcanic rocks present on the earth.
Rock found at Mars just like earth:
In this, it has been said from the side of the rover that it is trying to find such rocks here in which different layers are present and in which some evidence of life can be found. In a tweet made a few days ago, the rover had given information about the mapping of its route, within which it is trying to find evidence of life. It was told that he would do some research first in the south and then in the north near the delta present here, where it is believed that there was a river.
Rover Perseverance has already landed on Red Planet:
Let us tell you that NASA's Perseverance rover successfully landed on 18 February 2021 in Jeziro Crater of the Red Planet. This place was selected after five years of tireless efforts. Scientists believe that there used to be a lake here which has now dried up.
Scientists also hope that there can be life in a microscopic form here. This crater is about 45 km wide. Scientists have detected the presence of some such minerals from here which confirm this. The place where Perseverance landed is about 3700 km from Curiosity's landing site. Let us also tell you here that this is the 9th rover of NASA which has successfully landed on Mars. Earlier, NASA has also landed Phoenix, Viking-1, Viking-2, Pathfinder, Opportunity, InSight, Curiosity, Spirit on the Red Planet.
