London: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are all set to move out of their Kensington Palace home to their new royal Frogmore House.

According to sources, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly leaving their west London home and moving into a 10-bedroom home, near Windsor Castle.

The Windsor home is said to have been gifted to the newlywed by the Queen, and is right where the couple threw their private wedding reception, in May 2018 and where their engagement photographs were shot.

A palace statement that reads: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will more to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate early next year as they prepare for the arrival of their first child. The couple have lived at Nottingham Cottage since their engagement last year. Windsor is a very special place for Their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate. The Duke and Duchess’s official office will continue to be based at Kensington Palace."

The couple will move into their new official residence next year once the restoration work is done. It is to be mentioned that six months pregnant Markle's due date is in the spring.

The Palace will get a full security upgrade to keep trespassers out. Previously, the property was surrounded by a small fence with a sign reading "Private".

The couple currently lives in west London, where Prince William and Kate Middleton also live.

Frogmore is also known as 'Double Garden Cottage', facing the stunning and sprawling grounds of Frogmore House.

The cottage is currently getting its multi-million pound renovation and will be transformed into a family home with modern amenities from a staff accommodation.

The Frogmore Cottage has been under royal ownership since the 16th century and has sentimental value and many memories for the Duke, 34, and Duchess, 37.

Frogmore House has been used intermittently as a residence for members of the royal family since 18th century and was originally purchased by George III for his wife Queen Charlotte.

Harry's cousin Peter Phillips and his wife Autumn also used the residence for their reception in 2008.
