At least ten killed, 30 injured in Baghdad suicide bombings
Baghdad: At least ten persons were killed and 30 others injured in suicide bombings at two Shia-majority localities in the capital of Iraq on Monday.
“A suicide bomber detonated explosives at Amil district in the neighbourhood of southern Baghdad claiming lives of at least six persons and wounding 16 others,” said officials. Another bomber blew himself off near a public transport garage in a Shia locality killing at least four people and injuring 18.
Subsequently, the Islamic State (IS) issued a statement claiming responsibility for the attack. IS said it targeted Shiites in the attack whom the terror outfit considered to be heretics.
