New York: In a survey conducted to check living standards, three cities of Pakistan could somehow manage to make their places in the list of 230 cities of the world that have highest living standards.

Consulting firm ‘Mercer’ conducted its eighteenth survey for checking the living standard. Three cities of Pakistan i.e. Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi managed to make their place in the list but their rank was 193, 199, and 202 respectively which was very low. Vienna, the capital of Austria made 1st rank in the survey list.

Vienna is Austria's primary city, with a population of about 1.8 million and its cultural, economic, and political centre. Living in Vienna is cheap as in comparison to the other western countries of the world.

Zurich of Switzerland, Auckland of Switzerland, and Munich of Germany made second, third and fourth rank respectively whereas New Delhi capital of India was given 142 rank.

Luxembourg tops the personal safety list and is followed by Bern, Helsinki, and Zurich (all tied in 2nd place) whereas Baghdad the capital of Iraq was at the lowest rank.

In area wise category, Singapore from Asia, Dubai from Middle-East and Africa, Montevideo from South America, Vancouver from North America and Auckland from New Zealand were chosen as the top cities.

In the living relationship standards category, 7 out of 10 top cities were selected from Europe.
